Throughout his career, he designed for actresses including Larraine Day, Barbara Stanwyck, Lizbeth Scott, Janet Leigh, Loretta Young, Claudette Colbert, Susan Hayward, Ida Lupino, Ann Blyth, Dame Judith Anderson, Ann Miller, Marilyn Monroe and Kim Novak, among others.
